GREEN CARD

Every Friday, upon prior application, we offer to learn the game of golf, the rules, etiquette and obtain a golf "Green Card", which will provide the opportunity to play on all Latvian golf courses. The course provides basic skills, the most important rules and etiquette for beginners, and prepares them for independent play on the course.

Coach - Guntars Dobelis

Experienced and certified golf coach with playing experience since 1998. Two-time Viesturi Club champion and SEB Open stroke play winner. Long-time PGA Latvija member and LSFP certified coach. In the training process, he combines sports experience with a deep understanding of human movements, applying Eastern movement theories to achieve maximum effective use of the body and reduce the risk of injury.

  • Member of PGA Latvia, since 2011;
  • Certified coach of the Latvian Sports Federations Council, since 2012;
  • Basic golf coach training with the European PGA Director, 2010

Research and methodological approach

  • The research focuses on the application of oriental movement theories (tai chi, aikido, etc.) to the biomechanics of the golf swing. The goal is to reduce the risk of injury and promote the body’s natural, harmonious involvement in the swing. An original, biomechanically and philosophically based golf movement method has been developed, offering an alternative to traditional teaching approaches.

Types of Green Card Courses

Short course €150
Lesson 1 (4 hours, with a coach)
Introduction to the basics of golf - equipment, course layout, basic principles of golf rules and etiquette, basic principles of golf hitting and rolling, golf technique, 2-hole play
Lesson 2 (4 hours, with a coach)
Play on the course - 9-hole play, pace of play, rules. Green card exam, discussion of golf rules and etiquette * Optionally, between these two lessons, you can also include one individual day of play on the course, without the participation of a coach, independently improving your golf game.
Long course €200
Lesson 1 (3 hours, with a coach)
Introduction to the basics of golf - equipment, course layout, basic principles of golf swing and rolling, 2-hole play
Lesson 2 (3 hours, with a coach)
Playing on the course - basic principles of golf rules and etiquette, golf technique, playing 6 holes and understanding the pace of play
Lesson 3 (3 hours, with a coach)
Playing on the course - 9 holes, pace of play, rules. Green card exam, discussion of golf rules and etiquette
Season subscription for green card course graduates €240 €480
When you learn golf and get your Green Card at our course, you get a 50% discount on your season subscription. The season subscription includes unlimited playing time on the course and the Green Fee for the “Weekly Tournament”.
